Context

How this compares

Household cyber insurance is no longer a niche. The closest product to Personal Guard, Cyberboxx Home from BOXX Insurance, writes a household policy that affirmatively covers online fraud, AI-enabled scams and deepfake impersonation, identity theft and recovery, cyber extortion, home title fraud and cyberbullying, with Equifax identity monitoring and a 24/7 incident team bundled in. It is a serious product, and it is the right comparison to hold us against.

Most households that carry any cyber protection at all carry less than that: an identity-theft rider attached to a homeowners policy. A typical rider reimburses the expense of restoring your identity after a theft has already happened. It responds to a single peril, after the fact, and it includes no one who watches, answers or acts for your household before the loss.

The most common choice is still no protection at all. When something goes wrong, the loss lands where it falls, and the figures published elsewhere on this site are blunt about the size of that exposure: attacks on high net worth families range from $500K to $10M+ in losses.

Personal Guard starts from the same conviction that household cyber risk deserves a real policy, then adds the part we believe matters most: an active layer. Always-on monitoring that maps the devices on your network, checks your emails against known breaches, and verifies your social handles. A 24/7 concierge with a median pickup of 47 seconds that owns an incident end to end. And up to $5M in layered capacity underwritten by Tokio Marine and Chubb, placed through licensed brokers. Coverage responds to what has already happened. The active layer works on what has not happened yet.

Questions buyers actually ask

Who underwrites the coverage?

Insurance coverage is provided on a layered basis by A-rated carriers. The first $2,000,000 of coverage is underwritten by Tokio Marine; the layer above $2,000,000 up to the $5,000,000 limit is underwritten by Chubb. Policies are placed through SYBA’s licensed insurance brokers (EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants in the United States). Coverage, limits and availability vary by jurisdiction and are subject to the terms of the issued policy.

What is not covered?

Every line above shows a not covered example next to its covered one, so the boundaries are visible before you buy. The final word always belongs to the issued policy, never to a marketing page.

Where is Personal Guard available?

In the United States and the European Union, through the tiers shown above for your region. Coverage, limits and availability vary by jurisdiction and are subject to the terms of the issued policy.

How do claims work?

Your concierge team owns the claim from first report to resolution. You file once, a real person takes it from there, and you follow the status from your dashboard.

Which tier do I need?

It depends on who you are protecting. Compare the tiers above, see full plan details on the pricing page, or start a quote and get a recommendation based on your household.

Does my security score change my price?

No. Your scan score is security context, nothing more. It never sets your price, your tier or your eligibility.
